Our team
Long Term What? is led by Jesse Vickey, a three-time founder of mission-driven companies tackling real-world challenges.
After graduating from Duke University with majors in Economics and Public Policy, Jesse began his career on Wall Street at JP Morgan and UBS. He worked in fixed-income derivatives to help organizations manage their risks.
Seeking to make a greater impact, he left banking in 2001 to found his first company, which uses humor to teach college graduates essential life skills rarely covered in the classroom. In 2014, he launched a second company that provides in-home meal prep for busy families, giving parents more time for the things that matter most.
Building on his success, Jesse founded Long Term What? to bring clarity and levity to long-term care planning, empowering families to make thoughtful decisions. Long Term What? collaborates with the experienced team at LTCI Partners for underwriting pre-qualification, application support, and guidance on navigating unique or more complex policy questions.
Jesse is helping his parents navigate their long-term care options, similar to many families. From his home base in beautiful Colorado, he lives with his wife, two kids, and their spoiled French Bulldog.
Our why
Long-term care (LTC) and caregiving are among the biggest untold stories in the U.S., despite 70% of adults needing LTC in their lifetime. The topic gets little attention, partly due to the reluctance to confront aging and the emotional weight of care planning.
Our mission is to spark conversations and inspire action through practical, engaging guidance. We also use the letters LTC as a reminder to Learn about options, Talk with family, and Create a plan. This approach empowers care recipients and caregivers to work together and live their best lives.
